Women in Theatre Reviews: An Analysis of Theatre Critics’ Coverage of the 2018 Olivier Award Best Actors and Actresses
Abstract: Through a data comparison of the number of mentions each performer received across reviews, this research analyzed the differences in media coverage Olivier Award nominees received from theatre critics. The data was then compared based on the gender of the performer and of the critic. The results reflected a significant variation in media coverage of female nominees in comparison to their male counterparts.

Responsible Storytelling
Abstract: To become more responsible storytellers through theatre in a rapidly changing world, the research team focused on clarification and documentation of Earlham Theatre Arts department values, exploring what kinds of processes and procedures could lead to greater inclusivity, and how to facilitate more effective communication within the department and the greater Earlham community.
